So It’s official: Capcom is remaking Resident Evil 3. Similar in style to 2019’s Resident Evil 2 remake.
The new version of Resident Evil 3 Will have updated graphics and modern gameplay mechanics.
The “completely reimagined” Resident Evil 3 is coming to PlayStation 4, Windows PC via Steam, and Xbox One on April 3, 2020, Capcom announced during Sony’s State of Play livestream.
Capcom’s Resident Evil 3 remake isn’t much of a surprise. The game’s existence has been heavily rumored, and artwork for the title, featuring protagonists Jill Valentine and Carlos Oliveira and the bio-organic weapon known as Nemesis, leaked via the PlayStation Network last week.
The original Resident Evil 3: Nemesis was released in 1999. The game stars Jill Valentine, the STARS member from the first Resident Evil, as she attempts to escape Raccoon City and is relentlessly pursued by the hulking Nemesis T-Type, a deadly bio-organic weapon.
Collector’s Edition of Resident Evil 3 to the market when the game launches later in April.
So far, only North America has confirmed to be getting the edition.
